Cordelia Shan does a lot of things…

I do a lot of things—and not just because I’m passionate about them (though I am), but because I do them well.

I started writing as a way to heal, but it quickly became something bigger. Words became my constant companions—written, spoken, or sometimes just swirling in my head at 3 a.m. Writing led to podcasting, translating, blogging, reviewing books, working with data, and occasionally wondering how I manage to juggle so much.

I tell stories not just with words but with visuals. Whether I’m working with data, crafting a narrative through graphics, or creating reports, I thrive on making complex information accessible, engaging, and beautiful. I’m good at turning ideas into action—and results. I MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.

Growing up between cultures, I became fluent in navigating languages and perspectives. I speak Chinese with my parents, Japanese with my Banchan and Jichan, and English everywhere else. I read in Chinese and Japanese, fight and write in English, and listen to Japanese radio like it’s my personal therapy session.

As a translator, I bridge cultures and languages with the precision of a seasoned architect—and the occasional flair of a sleep-deprived creator. My podcast, Thursday Night Kissaten, mixes book reviews, cultural musings, and a touch of chaos. My blog, And…&…, dives into books, culture, and everything in between, because why stop at one creative outlet when I can master two (or more)?

I don’t just create; I connect. Whether I’m weaving cultures together, telling stories with words or data, or pulling off one more project, I make things happen. (Spoiler: I usually nail it.)
