Cordelia Shan is a creator, writer, translator, and producer based in Toronto.

I first started writing for healing. I naturally connect with written words very well since I love reading. Written words later brought spoken words along to my life. I get excited by producing and managing ideas, and I am good at making things happen.

I grew up in different places/countries, and I sincerely appreciate the nuances of all cultures. I speak Chinese to my parents, I speak Japanese to my Banchan and Jichan, I read in Japanese and Chinese, and I listen to radios in Japanese and watch Japanese TV shows and movies for comfort. I read in English for school and fun. I also fight and write in English for myself and others. As a translator, I build a bridge the gap between cultures and languages, allowing for deeper understanding and connection via my podcast, Thursday Night Kissaten, and my interview show, Kaleidoscope, to feature all the writers from Creative Writing at OCAD University.
